Miami Beach Madness

I'm in Miami with my best friend, celebrating our joint 40th birthdays...hers in August and mine in October.

A wine worthy occasion for sure...but we've discovered the Miami Beach bartenders are famous for their cocktails. More on this later...but for now, check out the following:

South Beach Martini. Vanilla vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice. So big it has to be served in a supersize margarita glass!

Mango Mojito. Equally huge, perfectly minty and mangoey.

Finally....the table next to us with the enormous frozen margarita and it's double Corona bottle "garnish".

Cheers to you, SoBe bartenders ...you don't hold back!

Chocolate Vino?

I am at the annual wine and food festival at Freshfields Village, in between Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. This was a surprise and a treat...Chocolais...chocolate wine from Holland. Like a cross between hot chocolate (but cold), Bailey's and red wine. Surprisingly good!

Cheers, and thanks for following!
